We are regularly requested to handle the notarising of documents for use of medical professionals who are looking to relocate to Australia. We notarise copies of documents using the AHPRA wording as required.

We are able to offer remote notarising of documents over a video call as long as you are a resident of England and Wales and as long as the notary is not required to counter-sign any statutory declaration or EPIC forms. These can only be done at in-person appointment at either our Gloucester office or Lydney office.

We do not know specifically what documents are required and you should check with the authorities in Australia. However, over the past 2 years, the following documents have been notarised regularly:

  • Passport
  • Primary Medical Degree Qualification
  • Any Other Relevant Qualifications
  • Driving Licence
  • Proof of Address
  • Proof of GMC Registration
  • Birth Certificate
  • PLAB Results
  • Reference Letters
  • IELTS Certificate

To proceed with the online appointment, you will need to scan and email over the documents for our notary to check. They will then arrange a video call usually over Zoom or WhatsApp so that they can verify the documents. Please ensure that you have the original documents with you at the appointment otherwise our notary will not be able to verify them.

Our notary charges £80 plus VAT for up to 5 documents and then £5 plus VAT per additional document. Charges apply per person per appointment. If there are two of you, then you can have the appointment with the notary at the same time, but you will be invoiced separately following the appointment. In addition, if you ask our notary to notarise 5 documents at one appointment and then subsequently ask for further documents to be notarised at another appointment, then a further appointment fee will be incurred. It is therefore most cost effective for you to have as many documents notarised at once rather than have to pay for further appointments.

Once payment has been made, we will scan and email over copies of the notarised documents usually within 48 hours of receipt of payment. If hard copies are required, please let us know once you have received the scanned copies.
